Review: I enjoyed the first two films of this remade franchise of an original TV series.

Denzel Washington returned as former Government assassin, Robert McCall, who has now found some peace in Italy. But he soon finds out, the little town he's taken in isn't all what it seems. I made that sound like a horror movie subtext... haha.

Washington puts out another strong and tour-de-force action performance as McCall. This time, it's bloodier and far more brutal than the previous installments. Washington commands every scene he's a part of, along with some great set pieces and sharp camera work. The action sequences are brutal and fast paced, with plenty of grit in between.

Along with a solid supporting cast, Washington makes the most of this "final chapter". Do I really think this series is over yet? Not sure, but they leave it somewhat open in the end for a possible comeback for Denzel down the line. We'll see. But, he may be done. They ended it on a very positive note. Which makes you believe it's not over... yet.

I'd be down for another. Any chance to see Denzel whoop some bad guys' ass, especially as brutal as he did in this one, is another chance at some fun times. Overall, a beautifully shot and choreographed film, with solid performances from the whole cast, particularly Washington. If you love just pure ass kicking fun, The Equalizer 3 will bring the goods to you.
