Jeepers Creepers 2 | review

About: Set a few days after the original, a championship basketball team's bus is attacked by The Creeper, the winged, flesh-eating terror, on the last day of his 23-day feeding frenzy.
Review: The Creeper is back with another terrifying, but not so terrifying, feeding frenzy.

Although Jeepers Creepers 2 doesn't come close to being as terrifying as its predecessor, it ups the game on action. In this one, you get some solid scares here and there, but writer and director Victor Salva decided to go in a bit different direction. Instead of straight scares, he goes for the action sequences.

The Creeper is shown more of what makes him so unique by showing off his caliber of weaponry and strategy. He's a smart hunter who proves he's been around a long time and has adapted some incredible techniques and skills for such a long time.

I appreciate the direction Salva went with this sequel, but I wish he would have kept the scare factor of the original with all of the action. That's my only gripe about Creeper 2. All in all, Creeper 2 is a great and successful sequel to an absolute monster showcase of an original scarefest. It has great performances from a young and clever cast. Breck is back as The Creeper. Salva slays his direction.

Such a fun time. Buckle up!
